Fruity notes (excluding citrus) are the stars of modern perfumery for their ability to add juiciness, color, and joy. They are characterized by being sweet, vibrant, and often evoke memories of childhood or tropical paradises.

Unlike other ingredients, most fruity notes are synthetic recreations (molecules such as esters), since it is nearly impossible to extract essential oil directly from an apple or a peach.
